About
WP2 aims at collecting data and relevant information about the evolution of migration issues and its impact on the local society as well as the actual needs of Libyan HEI. Besides, supporting local policymaking in terms of advocacy, agenda-setting, policy formulation, implementation and evaluation of local needs, introduction to planning, implementation of EU-style best practices, and networking with local agents and key actors involved in the management of the migratory phenomenon such as public administration services, immigration offices, reception centres, administrators, governments, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Interior, consular services and embassies, International Organizations (UNHCR, IOM) and NGOs. WP2 will set up a formalised and recognised network for the Libyan government. By formalising the network, the migration Consortium also ensures its sustainability for the foreseeable future, and giving local ownership to the outputs of the network, enabling the Libyan institutions to continue to work alone. The network will work in close cooperation with migration Observatory to setup in Libyan Universities to make available the data and information collected through WP2.
