Within the HGRA project, the ‘Libyan Migration Research Network (LMRN)’ has been established. It is an informal network within and beyond Libyan higher education institutions, aimed to contribute to the study and better understanding of the phenomena of human mobility with particular interest in migration and refugee mobility.
The purpose of the LMRN is to establish an academic platform aimed at promoting and supporting research, knowledge and information sharing and analysis on migration and asylum related issues in Libya. It aims to contribute from the Academy to the study and better understanding of the phenomena of human mobility with particular interest in migration and refugee mobility. The LMRN shall also foster knowledge, information and analysis sharing with universities and academic institutions as well as any other relevant stakeholders in the field, to contribute to a better understanding of the challenges faced by Libyan society in relation to human mobility.
As part of its activities, the LMRN collects insightful contributions that can stimulate global analysis and research through knowledge sharing.
