Recap of the Insightful Workshop: “Approaches & Initiatives – The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Addressing Migration”
Migration remains a pivotal component of the socio-political and economic landscape in the Mediterranean and North African regions. Libyan higher education institutions (HEIs) play a vital role in navigating the complexities associated with migration by fostering inclusive environments for migrant students and integrating migration themes into educational frameworks and research priorities.
Recently, Sebha University, in collaboration with UNIMED and the University of Barcelona as the Work Package leader, hosted a workshop on January 28, 2025, at the Language Center, Sebha University, Libya. This workshop delved into the essential role of academia in strengthening social cohesion in alignment with international conventions.
